What is Starknet?

Starknet is a validity rollup (aka ZK-rollup) L2 network over Ethereum.

Starknet uses zero-knowledge proofs, which are cryptographic tools that can verify the correctness of computations without revealing any details. By using these proofs, Starknet can batch and compress transactions on a layer 2 network and periodically submit them to the Ethereum Mainnet. This way, it can achieve higher throughput and lower fees than the Ethereum mainnet, while still maintaining its security and compatibility.
